Additionally, here is a brief summary of key points that were discussed:

  • The news flow is going to most likely stay negative for a while at least.
  • The Equity Markets usually do recover before the news flow gets better.
  • The elements of a viable short-term stabilization path are slowly coming
together while long-term solutions are developing.
  • When the recoveries have happened, history shows they’re likely to be “V”
shaped (or at the least “U” shaped).
  • Long-term, we could still be in a secular bull market that started in 2013.
    • Whose path resembles equity bull markets of the 50s & 80s and both had a deep correction in year 8.
  • How is it possible that the market is down [only] 13% from January?
  • There are pockets of strength [and business growth], more than what the
media will lead you to believe.
  • For now, we are sticking to our playbook – stock markets will get worse
before they get better. We will continue to look for buying opportunities as
    they present themselves.

Thank you again to Brad Pineault, CFA Vice President at Fidelity Investments for providing this perspective.

Remember, we have a great team of people who are available to help you! We are going to get to the other side of this.
